SUNGLASZ VENDOR I'LL DO TO YOU YOURSELF

Arriving ahead of a string of shows with Glasshouse Red Spider Mite, Bristol-based emos-at-heart Sunglasz Vendor reveal their stroppy new single 'I'll Do To You Yourself'. Imbued with a distinctly 2009 strain of mathrock, the two minute tantrum is cathartic and self-aware, as vocalist and guitarist Raphi Cohen explains: "This song is about cycles of hatred. There’s not much poignancy to it to be honest. Someone hates you, so you hate them; it’s stupid, immature and very satisfying.” Recorded with prolific producer of underground gems Joseph Futak, 'I'll Do To You Yourself' sees Sunglasz Vendor lightening up, despite the subject matter. Wearing nostalgic sonic cornerstones on their sleeves, their approach is refreshing and ultimately encouraging. If you need to let off some steam (or even if you don't), we recommend a listen or two. -Holly Mullineaux
